Founded in France in 1976, Decathlon is one of the largest sporting-goods retailers and producers in the world, with over 1,065 stores in 27 countries and a range that covers around 20 brands of products for different product brands for different sports.
In Portugal, it currently has 29 Decathlon Stores, 4 Decathlon Express Stores, a National Distribution Center in Setúbal, and a Production Facility in Porto. It entered the Portuguese market in the year 2000, opening its first store in Alfragide, for which Engexpor carried out the project and works management. Since then, we have accompanied the brands’ expansion through carrying out the project and works management for its new stores.
