Oriente Green Campus

The Oriente Green Campus is an innovative office building, both in the flexibility of new ways of working and in its environmental, energy and employee well-being concerns. It has already obtained LEED Platinum certification, the highest rating in the LEED system, and is also in the final phase of obtaining WELL Platinum, the highest level of score in this certification, as well as in the final phase of the highest WIREDSCORE certification (Platinum level).

Located in the Parque das Nações area, the building was developed according to an architectural project that applies principles of sustainability and integration into the surrounding environment. To this end, an “Intelligent Building” was designed, which has the ability to adapt to the conditions of the environment in which it is located, adopting technical solutions that take advantage of the existing ecological and microclimatic context to ensure reduced energy consumption, the well-being of occupants and the environmental quality of the spaces. The ceramic and glazed facades contribute to the building’s thermal efficiency and allow for a connection to the landscape and exterior views.

In total, the Oriente Green Campus offers approximately 42,000 m² of office space distributed across four floors above ground level, also including 18,700 m² of landscaped outdoor areas and three underground floors (55,820 m²) for parking with a total of 1,450 spaces. It currently has 74 charging points installed with the possibility of expansion. It also has 160 bike storage spaces with changing rooms and lockers.

The architectural project is by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) and Saraiva + Associados, who created open-plan offices with a completely flexible configuration, both in terms of occupancy and rapid adaptation to future needs.

The building is organized around three large exterior courtyards and is served by three entrance lobbies, a restaurant and multi-purpose auditorium (165 pax) for the exclusive use of employees, and four open-plan office areas, all located on the ground floor. The upper floors house the remaining offices, with interior courtyards (floor 1) and exterior terraces (floor 2). The building’s roof also offers a huge outdoor common area with landscaped gardens.

Project and construction management was entrusted to Engexpor, which is also responsible for BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordination and procurement.

OGC has since won several national and international real estate awards.
