A total of seven airports operated by Vinci Airports in the northern region of Brazil were renovated and expanded.

The airport infrastructures are located in the cities of Manaus, Tefé and Tabatinga (Amazonas), Rio Branco and Cruzeiro do Sul (Acre), Porto Velho (Rondônia) and Boa Vista (Roraima) and their renovation includes a series of improvements aimed at increasing the capacity and safety of the facilities, as well as improving passenger comfort levels and circulation.

The work being carried out covers various spaces and equipment:

  • Refurbishment of the runways and taxiways in accordance with current standards;
  • Refurbishment of the aircraft yards in terms of signage, flooring and lighting;
  • Assessment and intervention of the entire drainage system;
  • Renovation and expansion of the passenger terminals and optimization of their flow;
  • Optimization of the air conditioning system on boarding bridges, as well as the baggage handling and transport system;
  • Installation of boarding bridges, elevators and escalators;
  • Construction of power substations, sewage treatment plants and solid waste plants.

After having been responsible for the project and works management of the expansion and refurbishment of Salvador International Airport, Engexpor was once again selected by Vinci Airports to monitor the works at these seven airports, and was in charge of the financial, quality and planning control of all the interventions.
