Mainly located in the territory of Brumado and with towers deployed between the towns of Rio de Contas and Dom Basílio, the Cristalândia Wind Farm has a total installed capacity of 90 MW and the capacity to generate around 350 GWh per year. This power meets the annual consumption needs of over 170,000 family homes, allowing Brazil to cut back on the emission of approximately 118,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Its operation was awarded to Enel Green Power Brasil, which signed a wind energy suppy contract in the region for 20 years. The group also has a commitment to support responsible economic development, specifically through the “Shared Value Creation” program, which aligns business creation with the needs of the local community by undertaking joint initiatives in the areas surrounding the plant.
Project management and construction was entrusted to Engexpor, which deployed a highly specialized team to accompany a large-scale, complex project, with excellent results.
