Designed to train professionals in the areas of maritime engineering and nautical sciences, the training center occupies an area of 72 hectares where buildings for housing students, administrative areas, a warehouse, naval and mechanical engineering offices, buildings for classrooms, laboratories, a research center, a water treatment plant, a recreation area, reception desks and fire training units were erected.
The work also included the construction of an access road to the center, as well as the internal streets and all the infrastructures.
With capacity for more than 200 students under an internship, the first Maritime Training Center in Angola has already become a reference in vocational training, providing its students an academic career in national and foreign higher education institutions.
The management of the work itself and of the infrastructures was entrusted to Engexpor, whose main objective was to ensure the quality of the construction of all equipment, within the strict deadlines stipulated for the opening of the institution.
