In the Abrunheira Industrial Zone, in the county of Sintra, the Jaba group built a factory in 2000. Engexpor was entrusted to manage its project and the construction, ensuring that the client’s objectives were fulfilled and the space’s specifics were taken into account, in strict compliance with the defined deadlines and budgets.
With a total area of 4,000 square meters, the facilities are used to manufacture and package tablets, capsules and sachets. The total production capacity is 400 million tables and sachets and nine million packages per year. The Portuguese subsidiary, now called Jaba Recordati SA, of the international pharmaceutical company Recordati SPA, has operated in Portugal since 1927.
